Field Hockey, and trying sports photography

Photobucket

All eyes are on Michaela Seigo, a senior at Cornell University from Annandale, V.A., as she looks to switch fields in Saturday’s Cornell-Brown Field Hockey game at Cornell University.

Katie Durkin, a freshman at Brown University from New Canaan, N.J., looks disappointingly across the field at Brown’s net as Cornell scores another goal, leaving the game 7-3 Cornell.

Family Reunion

This summer marked the first family reunion at my dads house...

Aunt Kate and uncle Paul (right here------>) and cousins Tessa Lindsey and Quinn came at the end of July, and my other Aunt and Uncle Sue and Pat came up a week later, shortly followed by my Aunt Kerry and cousins Sally, Lindy, Skyler, Justine, and her boyfriend Morgan...

We did a ton of stuff, went to the beach, Boston twice, restaurants, the pool, zillions of games, whale watching, shopping, etc...

Its great having so many people at your disposal to play whatever card or board game you can think of...

Here's the guys in the North end... and some more of Boston...

Welch-Dickey Mountain

Nat and I hiked on Monday Welch-Dickey moutain... what a beautiful day to be outside... I brought my camera and took a few shots... the blues of the sky and the green of the trees was perfect for picture taking...

Good thing no ones afraid of heights, huh?

Natalie's tattoo

So my friend Natalie has been in the process of finishing her tattoo for a little over a year and she just got it finished earlier this month... I've been lucky enough to take pictures of the whole thing, which has been in three installments. It's cool, too, I don't know if you'll notice the different but the pictures from the first time are used with a Canon camera instead of the Nikon I got this year.

I was trying to get a bunch of different angles and I tried every idea I could think of during the whole time I was there. Here are some of the ones I think show the whole picture pretty well...

Props to Mike who gave her all the tattoos.. the guy was really cool and let me get my camera up all in there... and plus he did a really great job on all the work he did on Nat..

Osi & Lee

About ten days ago Dave, Jarrod and I shot our third wedding... Osi and Lee met on myspace! I thought that was pretty interesting...

Dave and I met up with Osi while Jarrod shot Lee getting ready...

Her dress and shoes were crazy.. so were the flowers. The wedding colors were red and black, and there were tattoos everywhere. It was cool to photograph a wedding that was so modern...

Here are some pics we got from it..

Catherine and Zach

On June 27th Zach and Catherine got married in Derry, NH and had their reception in Candia, NH. Dave and I met up with Catherine at 9am in her hotel, and to our surprise she was completely done up already, dress and makeup totally on... we worked with what we had though and ended up getting some pretty cool shots of them before they left.

It was another really quick day of shooting, always on our feet. The guests at the reception ended up being hilarious - once everyone was dancing people were having a great time.

I felt a lot more comfortable at this wedding compared to the Kimberly and Luke's - we've got another wedding next Saturday, I hope that one turns out even better. It's going to be way up north, so Jarrod and I are planning on camping Saturday night to go hiking on Sunday!
